Sitia is the easternmost city on Crete and is located 64km east of Agios Nikolaos. The area of Sitia hosts several small beaches where you can enjoy the sun and the sea. However, some who prefer to stay close to town, can visit the long city beach.

The beach of Sitia is located east of the city and extends from the port to the area Petras on the east. Sitia beach is sandy and has small pebbles in some places, while the water is shallow. It is very well organized with umbrellas, showers, lifeguard, beach / water sports, beach bars, but along its long shore you can find plenty of quiet places, especially on the east. Lastly, on the east side there is room for campers and a few trees.
