1. One of the best beaches in Crete December 19, 2010 19:51

Listis is located 69km southeast of Iraklion, between Keratokambos (2km western) and Tsoutsouras. The street linking Kastri and Tsoutsouras passes next to the beach. However, in order to get to the beach you should descend a steep slope. Alternatively, you can get off at the next beach of Larinaki and walk eastwards. Whichever way you choose, it definitely worths it.

This quite small beach is certainly one of the nicest in Crete. Fortunately it remains unknown, completely unorganized and not very busy. It has sand and shallow crystal clear waters. What makes it special is the big rocks inside the sea and on the shore. Although there are many rocks in the water, the seabed is sandy and is ideal for swimming and splashes! If you ever come here, do not forget to bring with you a tent or sleeping bags, because we think that you’ll definitely fall in love with Listis and that you’ll want to stay here overnight.
